Funded by The University of Sheffield, The Compassionate Friends will be hosting a ‘Bereaved Sibling Support Day’ on Saturday 9 September at Halifax Hall Hotel, Sheffield. The event offers you the chance to meet with other bereaved siblings, creating space to share and discuss your thoughts, feelings and experiences. There will also be opportunity to take part in a relaxed crafting activity (optional). Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

All bereaved brothers and sisters 18+ years are warmly welcome, whether your loss was recently or some time ago.

Cost: A subsidised price of £15

There is some funding available to help those with limited financial resources. If you are keen to attend but unable to do so for financial reasons (travel costs for instance) then please email laura.towers@sheffield.ac.uk

 

Please note that our weekend retreats are run by bereaved sibling volunteers. Our volunteers are not professionals and so what we offer is a uniquely warm, comforting and supportive two days organised and facilitated by siblings who have also experienced the loss of a brother or sister and have found understanding and support themselves through The Compassionate Friends.

Please note that if you need to cancel your place on the Support Day please do so by 7 August 2023. We will then be able to refund your booking payment less £5 for admin costs. After 7 August unfortunately we will not be able to refund your booking payment.
