Membership subscriptions provide The Compassionate Friends with a regular income. They help to pay for all our services as well as providing subscribers with opportunities to share their experiences with others through our quarterly newsletters and be kept in touch with what is happening in the charity. Those in the caring professions can also benefit by becoming Associate Members. If you are a tax payer then your subscription can go even further if you complete a Gift Aid form.

Which membership scheme is right for you?

Supporting Membership

TCF services are free of charge to all bereaved parents, grandparents, and siblings. The Supporting Membership scheme is for those who not only want to support our work but also wish to receive our quarterly publication "Compassion" by post.  Compassion contains articles, poems and other helpful information, written by and for bereaved families and is only available to Supporting Members.  You will also receive TCF News, which gives a quarterly update on the work of the charity.  As a Supporting Member you can also become a 'Member of TCF (Ltd)' and take a full part in TCF having voting rights at TCF General Meetings.

If you are newly bereaved and wish to receive copies of Compassion the first year of subscription is totally free of charge unless you choose to become a Supporting Member or wish to contribute to the cost of the journal and other services through a donation to TCF.

Continuing free or reduced annual membership is available for bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings who are suffering financial hardship. Please contact our office staff in Bristol for more information.

Associate Membership

Open to other relatives and friends, and professionals working with bereaved families. By becoming a member you will be supporting our work with bereaved parents and their families. You will also receive our 48 page quarterly newsletter "Compassion" and TCF News.

Friends of TCF

For all those who wish to support the aims of The Compassionate Friends. Your subscription will go towards the cost of our services to bereaved parents and their families, and we would like to keep you in touch with what is happening in the charity. We will send you, by post or email, our quarterly magazine TCF News to do just that.
